SANTA & MRS. CLAUS at the Boat Basin -- plus new Huron WINTER FEST!

SATURDAY, December 8th, 3:00 - 8:00 pm  
Santa and Mrs. Claus are planning to arrive at the Huron Boat Basin approx. 3:30 pm BY BOAT (thanks to South Shore Marine; pending river conditions) 
FREE ADMISSION - Visit Santa & Mrs. Claus at the Boat Basin Marina building (bring your wish list!) - REAL Reindeer - Children Crafts - Carriage Rides!

3:30-8pm - Santa at the Boat Basin - Free Admission -- Donations of hats/gloves to the "Warm Hands from Young Hearts" tree are appreciated!

3-8pm Carriage Rides with stops at Huron Boat Basin and Old Fish House

4-7pm Santa's Market at the Harbor House 

4-6pm Elsa, Anna & Oalaf of Frozen visiting North Main Street;

4-6pm Magic Balloon Twisting,

4-7pm Wreath Making with Mulberry Creek Herb Farm -- PLUS Santa's Workshop Shopping for kids at Riverview Lanes -- and Cookie Decoration & Smores at Old Fish House -- and Food Trucks at the Pier!   

The Huron Winter Fest is presented by Huron Parks & Recreation and Huron Chamber of Commerce, with thanks to program sponsors and participating businesses.  

 

2018 INDOOR YOGA at a new location! 

Held at the HURON BOAT BASIN MARINA BUILDING -- same great class with instructor, Karen Polvinale.  
2018 INDOOR Session is Oct. 16 - Dec. 18, 2018.
Tuesday evenings - 6:00 -7:00 pm, EXCEPT 5:00 -6:00 pm on Nov. 6th and December 4th.
REGISTRATION FEE:  $50 FOR ENTIRE Session I (10 classes) ...
or if you cannot attend the two 5:00-6:00 pm class dates, the FEE IS $40. -for eight classes. 

You are welcome to register at the class throughout the session (fee will be pro-rated), please arrive 15 minutes prior to class to register -- or call our office at 419-433-8487 for more information.  Indoor Yoga with instructor Karen Polvinale; accomodates all skill levels - BEGINNERS WELCOME !  

 

WALKING AT WOODLANDS - Starts Nov. 5, 2018

FREE PROGRAM - Registration not required.  Safe, comfortable indoor walking all winter long! 

Mondays -Thursdays (only on school days), 6:00 -7:30 pm, Nov. 5, 2018 through April 2019. NO WALKING IF SCHOOL IS CANCELLED/CLOSED. 

Held at Woodlands Intermediate School. Enter by door on east side of building (program sign will be on the door).

 

First Federal FARMERS MARKET 

October 18th was the final Farmers Market of the 2018 Season.  Many thanks to our vendors for sharing the wonderful "fruits of their labor" and to First Federal Savings of Lorain for their continued sponsorship of this event!

 

Nickel Plate Beach 

Nickel Plate Beach remains open after Labor Day.  City of Huron Parks, including Nickel Plate Beach, are typically open dawn to dusk. There is NO lifeguard on duty.  Concessions and parking gate are NOT staffed after Labor Day.

Beach Water Quality Testing ends after Labor Day.  (Erie County Health Dept. -Beach Monitoring Program for more information)

Decals are $5.00 each; donation to the Huron Parks Foundation. Click on the Decal to the left for mail order form. New option: "static cling" decals can be removed without leaving residue!
