Farmers Market - Every Thursday afternoon!
Fresh seasonal produce and products from local vendors! The Farmers Market is held in the Huron Boat Basin parking lot every Thursday, (NOTE TIME CHANGE: 4pm - 7pm) July 15 through October 14. Presented by Huron Parks & Rec in partnership with the Huron Chamber of Commerce. A special thanks to First Federal Savings of Lorain for their support! If you are interested in becoming a Farmers Market Vendor, contact Huron Chamber of Commerce at 419-433-5700.
Active @ Lake Front Park - Yoga or Tai Chi
Adult Fitness -- Beautiful views inspire healthy, fun classes at Lake Front Park. YOGA every Tuesday and Thursday, 10am-11pm. If you have not previously atttended our Yoga Program, please arrive 15 minutes early to register. Purchase a $50 Yoga Pass to attend 10 classes. Your choice of dates- Your Yoga Pass never expires! Or try TAI CHI every Tuesday and Thursday at Lake Front, 10am - 11pm. Great for balance, flexiblity, and managing stress. $5.00 per Tai Chi Class; arrive early to register if this is your first class. Classes at Lake Front Park are weather-allowing.
Nickel Plate Beach
Nickel Plate Park is open daily, dawn to dusk. $6.00 per vehicle parking fee (cash only). Season Parking Passes are sold at the gate. More Parking Pass information - Click here for the order form. NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY. Click here for IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION. Dogs are prohibited at Nickel Plate Park from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day during the hours of 10am to 6pm.
Kayaks, float devices and beach gear can be rented at Nickel Plate Beach from The Paddle Shack. For availability and pricing, the PADDLE SHACK phone number is 419-515-9834.
Water quality at Nickel Plate Beach and other area beaches, is monitored by the Erie County Health Department -- click here to link to their test results.
