2018 PUMPKIN FEST -Saturday, Oct. 13th @ Huron Boat Basin

2018- VolunteerGraphic.jpgACCEPTING STUDENT VOLUNTEERS to help with children games and pumpkin painting.  Must be in 7th Grade or older -- see details on Volunteer Form. It's a FUN way to earn volunteer hours! 

PUMPKIN FEST is 11am-5pm on October 13th; a fun family festival for all ages!  Enjoy games, entertainment, food, kids' crafts, petting zoo, bounce house and more!  DON'T MISS THE BARNES PUMPKIN DROP AT 2:30pm! 


PUMPKINS FOR BUSINESS - Free Advertising --  Show your Community Spirit!

You are invited to decorate a pumpkin advertising your business / organization -- to be displayed at the Pumpkin Festival at NO CHARGE!  A fun opportunity for positive exposure while supporting this popular community event.  More information.


2018 BEACH YOGA @ Lake Front Park 

10-11 am, Tuesdays and Thursdays - You are welcome to join-in the final session of the season, in-progress!

Session III runs through Sept. 20, 2018.  Enjoy Yoga while inspired by the beauty of Lake Front Park; with instructor Karen Polvinale. Class accomodates all skill levels - BEGINNERS WELCOME !   More Information


First Federal FARMERS MARKET - Thursdays, 3:30 - 6:30pm

Huron Boat Basin parking lot - fresh, delicious produce from local growers; plus "home-made" specialty foods. Our thanks to First Federal Savings of Lorain for their continued sponsorship of this event!

Nickel Plate Beach 

Nickel Plate Beach remains open after Labor Day.  City of Huron Parks, including Nickel Plate Beach, are typically open dawn to dusk. There is NO lifeguard on duty.  Concessions and parking gate are NOT staffed after Labor Day.

Beach Water Quality Testing ends after Labor Day.  (Erie County Health Dept. -Beach Monitoring Program for more information)


Fall Ball @ Fabens


2018 Season is August 18 through Sept. 30th (Oct. 6-7 and Oct.13-14 Rain make-up dates). Baseball on Saturday's - Softball on Sundays. No games on Labor Day weekend.



Huron Decals

Decals are $5.00 each; donation to the Huron Parks Foundation. Click on the Decal to the left for mail order form. New option: "static cling" decals can be removed without leaving residue! 


Park Memorials - Donations

The Huron Parks & Recreation Foundation offers the opportunity for community members to donate lasting memorials to loved ones within our park system. More information.
