Police Officer Entrance Examination
The City of Huron is accepting applications for the position of FULL TIME POLICE OFFICER. An entrance examination, consisting of a written examination will be held on Saturday March 3, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Huron High School. A score of at least 70 must be obtained to proceed through the entrance process. A physical ability test will be held at Huron High School immediately after the written examination. Applications must be submitted no later than FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 23, 2007 AT 12:00 NOON. A $20.00 examination fee will be assessed the day of the exam and is payable in CASH ONLY. A valid driver's license must be presented for entrance to all examinations. REQUIREMENTS: must be certified as a police officer in the State of Ohio and certification of completion must be provided with the application or at the written testing site. Police officers perform a variety of general public safety work in police patrol, investigation, traffic regulation and related law activities through the enforcement of laws and ordinances.
