Fitness Classes
Aerobics Classes with Monica Studans
This is the class you have been waiting for! A complete and effective workout for all fitness levels! Work out at your own pace with 40 min. of easy, fun and fat-burning Latin infused dance and "Tae-Bo Style" kick-boxing moves. One class per week combines weights with cardio for the ultimate in fat-burning! Tone and strengthen your arms, legs and abs using weights and resistance. Relieve stress with a relaxing stretch! Please bring a mat, water and two 2-5 lb. hand-held weights to feel energized and fantastic.

Beach Yoga
Enjoy the morning views of Lake Erie, while getting a workout! Beach yoga will be held at Lakefront Park from 10:00-11:00am on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Please bring a yoga mat. Spaces are limited, so register today! In the event of inclement weather, class will be held at Christ Episcopal Church.

Join Karen Polvinale, certified yoga instructor and personal trainer for an hour of yoga fitness! Yoga is excellent for developing flexibility, core strength, muscular strength, balance and stress reduction.

Unless a specific form is noted, use the general program registration form. Forms are also available at our office. Please register early to avoid cancellation due to low enrollment!
Swim Program

Four sessions to choose from. Limited class size. No classes will be offered the week of July 4th.
Session I (Sprint Session): June 25th to June 29th Cost: $30 Residents/$35 Non Residents

Please Note: This is a one week sprint session intended for swimmers who have the basics of swimming and would like to improve their swimming skills & strokes.
Session II: July 9th to July 20th

Session IV: August 6th to August 17th
Cost: $55 Residents/$60 Non-Residents
Sessions II, III & IV will contain the following classes:

Classes fill quickly, sign up early! Please register your child according to age group, children will be tested on the first day of their registered session for skill level. Pre-Registration Required. Session I, 4 classes are guaranteed. Sessions II-IV, 8 classes are guaranteed.


Safety Town 2012
presented by the Huron Eagles
(Program for children entering Kindergarten in the fall)

Runs Monday through Thursday for two weeks
Cost: $35 for Residents/ $40 for Non-Residents.
This 8-day planned curriculum program incorporates classroom activities and presentations to help familiarize children with the school setting. We are fortunate to have help from the Huron Fire & Police Departments, Erie MetroParks, Erie County Environmental Services, Sandusky Power Squadron, Firelands Regional Medical Center and Huron City Schools. In addition, we have outstanding Teachers and Safety Town Teen Counselors who create a wonderful, fun and creative environment for our participants. Classroom size is limited, please register early. Participants registered by deadline date will receive Safety Town T-shirts! REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS MAY 18th.

Huron Eagles Scholarship Program
In conjunction with the Huron Parks and Recreation Department, the Huron Eagles Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to those children wishing to participate in Safety Town. Established in 2004, this program demonstrates the Huron Eagles commitment to the safety of the children in this community.

New Counselor Application
Camp focuses on the fundamentals and important points of hitting, throwing, fielding and defense and is targeted for both beginners and those who want to improve upon their skills. Participants are asked to bring a glove, bat and water bottle each day. All participants receive a Baseball Camp T-shirt. Pre-Registration Required.

Go Team! Huron youth will have the chance to learn the cheers and jumps to cheer on those athletic teams throughout the year! Participants must have completed Kindergarten/entering 1st grade in the fall. Pre-Registration Required.
Soccer Camp

Get a "kick" out of this....be a part of the 12th annual Soccer Camp at the McCormick Soccer Complex. Participants will receive excellent instruction on the basics and have the opportunity to improve upon their existing skills. Please dress appropriately for the weather and bring a water bottle daily. Participants will receive a Soccer Camp T-shirt. Pre-Registration Required.

From the East:
from Route 2, get off a the Route 13/Huron-Norwalk exit. Proceed north to Bogart Rd. Make a left onto Bogart Rd. and go two blocks west to Center St. Make a right onto Center St. Go two blocks north to Adams Ave. Make a left onto Adams Ave and follow into Fabens Park.
From the West:
from Route 2, continue until you pass the Rye Beach Road Exit. Immediately following the Rye Beach Rd. Exit, you will get off the highway at the next exit. Get into the far right lane. This is the Huron/Route 6 exit. The exit will go over Route 2 into downtown. Fabens Park is on your right as you descend the hill off Route 2. At the bottom of the hill, slow down and make a right into the park. The entrance is immediately following the hill and directly off the highway, so please be careful.
From the South:
from Route 250 in Norwalk/Milan, take Route 250 North to Route 12. This is the intersection just outside of Milan at the traffic light with a Fire Station on your right. Make that right and follow Route 13 for approximately 7 miles. You will cross over both the Ohio Turnpike and Route 2. Once you cross Route 2 you will soon be in Huron. Slow your speed to 35 mph. Follow Route 13/Mudbrook Rd. into town. As you come into town, you will make a right onto Bogart Rd. This is the intersection at a car wash and Jim’s Pizza Box Restaurant. Make a left onto Bogart Rd. and continue for two blocks. Make the second right onto Center St. Make the second left onto Adams Ave. Follow Adams Ave. into Fabens Park.
