First Federal Farmers Market - every Thursday afternoon
Every Thursday through Oct. 23, 2014 - 3:30-6:30 pm at the Huron Boat Basin. Enjoy fresh produce, baked goods and unique products while supporting our local growers and vendors!
Yoga at Shawnee Elementary
Fall Yoga at Shawnee Elementary School will be offered in two sessions: Session I is Sept. 9-Oct. 28 (it's not too late to join class - call us at 419-433-8487). Session II is Nov. 4-Dec. 16. More information.
Lighthouse Pier Additions
Two recent additions to the observation deck of the Huron Lighthouse Pier make the stroll along the pier even more enjoyable! A Viewfinder was installed in memory of Ed and Donna Bender Hamer through a donation to the Huron Parks Foundation and an informative historical marker was provided by the Huron Historical Society. Our sincere appreciation to both -- be sure to check out both new features and enjoy the beautful views.
Best Live Music Venue...Huron Boat Basin!
The Huron Boat Basin was named the Best Live Music Venue by Lake Erie Living magazine, and will be included in the Sept./October 2014 issue! From best music to best fishing ... Huron will host the Masters Walleye Circuit on September 26 & 27th -- October 4th is the Fish Huron Ohio Walleye Challenge- FishHuronOhio.com
The Pumpkins are coming !
Add Saturday, October 11, 2014 to your Fall Fun calendar! The 7th Annual Pumpkin Festival will be held at the Huron Boat Basin, 11 am - 5 pm -- in conjunction with the Huron River Art Fest sponsored by the Huron Chamber of Commerce. A great family fun day with something for everyone! Don't miss the crowd-favorite -- the Barnes Pumpkin Drop at 2:30 pm!

We invite you to decorate a pumpkin advertising your business/organization -- to be displayed at the entry of the October 11th Pumpkin Festival at no charge! A great way to reach hundreds of local families and show your community support. Details.
Park Memorials - Donations
The Huron Parks & Recreation Department offers the opportunity for community members to donate lasting memorials to loved ones within our park system. More information is available on our "Parks" page.
Huron Decals - $5.00 each; donation to the Huron Parks Foundation. Click on the Decal above for mail order form. New option: "static cling" decals can be removed without leaving residue!
