Summer Youth Sports Camps in full swing!

Junior Explorer Camp extended!

Junior Explorers has been extended for two more single-week sessions. Monday-Friday MORNINGS at Shawnee Elementary, June 20-24 and June 27-July 1. Fun, engaging activities for 5-6 year olds! Camp hours are 9 am to 1 pm. Pack a lunch. Registration form / details.

Boppin' on the Basin 2016 Rocks!

Red, White & Blues Bang Celebration at the Boat Basin with Fireworks! 

  SATURDAY, July 2nd  - Live music...KingBees performance 6:30 - 8:30 pm. The Alan Greene Band performs at 8:30 - 10:30 pm. Fireworks at 10:30 pm. FREE admission thanks to our sponsors.


Beach Yoga @ Lake Front Park

Three Sessions running through Sept. 29th - Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10-11 am.  Registration information.


Nickel Plate Beach - More Fun!

New additions to the largest beach in Erie County include concrete ping-pong table (bring your own paddles/balls or purchase from gate attendant) and concrete cornhole boards (bring your own bags) -- plus a photo-worthy, really large Adirondack chair! Sandusky Register photos. Beach volleyball, children playground, soft sand and Lake Erie complete the fun! Visit our Parks page for more information on Nickel Plate Beach.

$5.00 per vehicle parking fee; or purchase a Season Parking Pass -- passes also available from Nickel Plate Gate Attendant or at the Parks & Rec office located at 110 Wall Street.     

 Beach Water Quality Testing conducted by Erie County Health Department -- results posted on Erie County Health Department Beach Monitoring website. 



Huron Decals - $5.00 each; donation to the Huron Parks Foundation. Click on the Decal above for mail order form. New option: "static cling" decals can be removed without leaving residue! 

Park Memorials - Donations

The Huron Parks & Recreation Department offers the opportunity for community members to donate lasting memorials to loved ones within our park system. More information is available on our "Parks" page.
