Boat Basin-Amphitheater 2015 Events

Boppin' on the Basin season begins on Saturday, June 6th with the Womack Family Band, starting at 7:30 pm. Admission is free thanks to our sponsors. Check out the Boat Basin page to plan your spring and summer fun!

2015 Safety Town

Safety Town is June 8-11 and June 15-18, 9:00-11:30 am, at Shawnee Elementary School. This is a single two-week program, Monday-Thursday both weeks, open to children entering Kindergarten in the Fall. See the Safety Town Registration form for details. Our thanks to the Huron Eagles for their continued sponsorship. 

Fun, New Program-- Junior Explorers Camp will be held at Shawnee immediately following Safety Town for both weeks. This program is only available to Safety Town attendees - see the Junior Explorer Camp Registration form for more information.

We are unable to accept any additional Volunteer Counselors for Safety Town -- please check on this page for additional volunteer opportunities later in the season. Thank you!

Lighthouse Pier Additions

Check out the improvements and enjoy the beautiful views from the Huron Lighthouse Pier! New memorial benches have been installed, plus the Viewfinder was installed in memory of Ed and Donna Bender Hamer, and an informative historical marker was provided by the Huron Historical Society. Our sincere appreciation to all -- more information about the Huron Parks Foundation Fund.

The Huron Boat Basin was named the Best Live Music Venue by Lake Erie Living magazine, and included in the Sept./October 2014 issue!
