HOW TO CALL 9-1-1

  • When calling, state the nature of the emergency.  
  • Give the address of the emergency and the number of the phone you are using.  
  • REMAIN CALM and answer any questions that the 911 operator has to ask you. The operator wants to help you, but won’t be able to if you are too excited. 
  • Speak clearly and do not shout into the phone.  
  • Do not hang up the phone until the 911 operator tells you to or hangs up.
