Fire Prevention and Education

The most effective way to fulfill our mission is through code enforcement and community education.

The Fire Division inspects every commercial occupancy in the city and township annually.  Inspections allow us to remove possible fire problems, educate the public, and pre-plan incidents.

The Huron Fire Division is committed to teaching our community how to prevent and react to fires, injuries, and illness.  While much of our effort is directed through our local schools, we also provide the following classes directly to our community.

Fire Extinguisher Training
Huron High School

Fire Extinguishers
Learn to select the proper extinguisher, how to use it, and most important, when not to.

CPR

Fire Safety
What everyone should know about preventing and reacting to fire in your home or business.

First Aid
