A Public Hearing on a proposed City Tax Budget for fiscal year 2010 will be held on Tuesday, July 14th, 2009 at 6:30pm at City Hall, 417 Main Street, Huron,OH.  A copy of the proposed budget is on file in the office of the City Manager and available for public inspection.

This notice is given pursuant to Section 6.03 of the Charter of the City of Huron, OH.

The Finance Committee will hold two meetings in July:  A work session on July 14, 2009 to discuss rental policy issues; and a regular meeting on July 28, 2009 to discuss the finances of the city.  Both meetings will be held at 5:30pm at City Hall, 417 Main Street, Huron, OH.  This notice is given pursuant to Section 121.01 of the Codified Ordinances of the City and to comply with Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code commonly known as the Sunshine Law.

A Public Hearing on Agricultural District Applications will be held on July 28, 2009 at 6:30pm at City Hall, 417 Main Street, Huron, OH. This notice is given in compliance with Section 929.02 of the Ohio Revised Code.

NOTICE TO MOW

Notice is hereby given that beginning June 1, 2009 property owners are required by law to mow and keep mowed regularly during the growing season, all undesirable weeds, grass and vegetation on their property within the corporate limits of the City of Huron.  If compliance is not observed, the City of Huron will cause a Notice to Mow to be sent.  If property owners do not mow within 10 days of receipt of notice, the City will have weeds mowed and bill property owner.  If payment is not made, Court proceedings will be initiated for collection.  This notice is in compliance with Chapter 557 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Huron.

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the City of Huron, Ohio will hold regular meetings on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each and every month at 6:30 p.m. in the Huron City Hall, 417 Main Street, Huron, OH.

Notice is further given that when a regular or special meeting falls on a recognized legal holiday, said meeting will be held the next day at the time and place designated above unless otherwise announced.

The Regular Meetings are: January 13, 27; February 10, 24; March 10, 24; April 14, 28; May 12, 26; June 9, 23; July 14, 28;August 11, 25; September 8, 22; October 13, 27; November 10, 24; December 8, 22.

This notice is given pursuant to Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code commonly known as the "Sunshine Law' and in accordance with Section 2.09 of the Charter of the City of Huron.
